September 1999 : Honduras
Greetings in the precious name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Who by His grace, mercy and power has made us to be more than victorious. He has established in us His continual ministry to the peoples of the world. I bring you greetings from your brothers and sisters in Honduras, El Salvador and Nicaragua. These dear saints are eternally grateful for your love and compassion towards them. This message comes at the close of a 28-day trip into parts of Central America. Having been sent, we went. What a powerful team of 14 men and women of God, who left the USA on August the 6th 1999. These lovingly laid down their lives to minister to a people many had never seen before. They experienced circumstances and situations they never faced before and were more than ordinary victors. They ate things they would not normally choose to eat they slept where they would not normally choose to sleep and did it with grace and humility. The people of the nations they visited recognized all of this, and were open to hear their message. The team was divided into three. A team of six people left after the first week, a team of six left after the second week. Chris Colter and I, Michael G. Maixner remained in Central American until the 3rd of September. This was no vacation this was a mission. These were on mission for the King of Kings, ambassadors of the Kingdom of God. I simply say, MISSION ACCOMPLISHED. In these 28 days, a total of 18 people of all ages prayed for the first time to ask Jesus to forgive them their sins and grant them His life. Hundreds hearing of the love of God and His compassion for them walked in faith and were healed of all manner of diseases, mental, physical, and spiritual. Wounds of the heart as well as those of the flesh were mended. The grace and mercy of the Lord was seen in that hundreds received the promise of the Father and were baptized in the Holy Spirit. There were 2 new churches birthed. 1 new church was planted in Cosiquina Nicaragua. This is a community where the war of the Contras and the Sandinistias was fought. This is a community where there had not been anyone within the community ever receive and confess Jesus as Lord for as long as people could remember. In this same community hundreds came out to stand in an open clearing to hear the gospel and seeing the power of the gospel, 53 people believed Jesus to be alive and the same received Him and confessed Him as Lord, by the simple preaching of the Gospel with power. Another new church was birthed in Cojolito Honduras. This is a community directly across from the Isle of Amapalla. There has been, by the hand of the Lord, a door opened for us to the nation of El Salvador, to preach the gospel anywhere within the nation. We were able to edify and give much help to the established 6 churches on the island of Amapala, in the preaching and teaching of the Word of God. The team also helped in the construction of the new building of the El Centro fellowship. Much needed repair on the orphanage was completed. The team installed a new well water system, called a Booma that will make the task of drawing water much easier. There are so many more important items and experiences that the half of which can not be shared due to space available. Know this, dear brothers and sisters, all of creation waits expectantly and longs earnestly for Gods sons to be made known, waits for the revealing, the disclosing of their sonship. (Rom.8:19 Amp.) I consider myself to a man most blessed, during this trip I was privileged to hear my son, son-in-law, and grandsons minister to the people of other nations. Three generations giving the life of Christ to this generation, it truly does not get much better than this. Plans are being made to return to Central America in January 2000. Thank you for your prayerful support.
