Michael preaching at a bus stop in a Gyspy Village in India
The Orphanage in Bhangir India, It was Pastor Ashivaradam’s home
September 2002 : India
On September 26, 2002 Evangelist Christopher Colter and I left the USA and headed for Hyderabad India. Our contact was a pastor we worked with last year, Rev. Ashivradam. This man of God is a gem. We ministered to 17 villages in 9 days reaching out to as many ethnic groups as possible. We would go into the village blow the shofar and invite people to gather. 75-250 people would gather around us. Hindus, Muslims, and Gypsies of all ages pressing in upon us. We would preach the gospel, the full simple gospel. Operating under the anointing of the Holy Spirit words of knowledge concerning sicknesses and diseases would be spoken out and the Lord would heal those in need. Blind eyes where opened, deaf ears unstopped, pains, fevers, all manner of infirmities where healed, and then the people would respond and pray openly to receive Jesus as Lord and renounce all other religions and gods. Hundreds of people came into the family of God. Ashivradam had people ready to open their homes for the planting of churches. He and his family own a home in Bhangir India. This is a notable thing for this area of India. In his travels he began noticing the abandoned children in the streets eating and sleeping whatever and wherever they could. He was moved with compassion and gathered some of them in and gave up his home for an orphanage. He now is providing a home for 23 children ages 5-16 years. This is the first time for most of the children to have food to eat and a dry place to sleep. He also provides schooling and biblical training for them. He then rented an apartment for he and his family. ELIJAH MINISTRIES has begun to send support to this work, your giving helps to continue this expression of true religion. (caring for the orphans James 1:27) We also conducted a leadership seminar for local pastors in the area.
From Hyderabad we travel by train 6 hours to the east to Tenali. Rev. JohnPaul Pinapati has been working with ELIJAH MINISTRIES for three years now. He is the facilitator for Elijah School of Ministries International in India. He oversees over 40 ministers and their churches. His vision is to reach out to and plant churches in over 100 villages around Tenali by the year 2010 (he is ahead of schedule). We conducted crusades in villages and by Gods grace during the time we were in this area many more people were saved, healed and delivered. We also held a two-day pastors training seminar. A high light of this time with the leaders was when Christopher and I demonstrated the heart of Jesus Christ by washing their feet. They were over come with emotions.
