November 2004 : Honduras
I have just returned from El Tigre Island off the south coast of Honduras. This was one of my shortest trips ever. But I must tell you it was one of the most necessary and powerful. I thank all of you who involved yourselves in the ministry to this island this past week. It was the most historic spiritual time for this island’s history. When I told them that five continents of the world, many different nations and over 300 hundred churches where praying for then during this week they were humbled before the Lord. The devil had been very busy. He did not want the planting of stakes and reclamation proclamation declared over the island. One week prior to my arrival a group of churches that I have worked with for the past seven years was in a wreck. One of the pastors, angered by a decision of their presbytery, cursed the presbytery and led a rebellion to remove their authority. He gathered the church that he pastors and many outsiders from the community to come to a meeting in his building. When the presbytery and all were gathered there he gave a signal and many who where there with knives and other weapons made there move toward the presbytery. By the grace of God the presbytery made an escape by the help of some of the members of the church. This is so significant because the Lord used this group including this pastor and his church to bring in a great move of the Spirit in 1998. Not only the rest of the group was completely surprised but the entire island population. The whole place was under a dark atmosphere. When I arrived on Monday the testimony of the brothers of the island was this, “”Michael your coming is like the rain after the dry season.”” I was moved with great compassion upon this people. The plans where changed we did not wait until Sunday the 14th to plant all the stakes. We began on Monday planting the first stake in the Northern point. I took the time to meet with each pastor to instruct and correct concerning the problem of the rebellion and then met with the congregations. When each congregation heard of the brothers and sisters of other nations, (that’s you), praying for them they began to weep. When I preached the power of the Spirit moved upon us and began to transform the atmosphere and us. We went out to plant the stake, the pastor read the proclamation the total congregation repeated and agreed. The stake was driven into the ground. I was honored to strike the first blow, then the pastor, then each member in turn. It was as if we were driving it into the heart of the enemy. When the stake was driven down with only about 4 inches left above ground, I anointed it with oil and then stones where stacked upon it.
When the 1st stake was driven in I could see in the spirit, a hard shell begin to crack. Tuesday the second stake was planted in the South. Same agenda, I met with the pastor and then we had a service and planted the stake. Now this time when we planted the stake it was as if the whole shell broke wide open and the glory of the Lord began to spill out. The people were so moved. Then came number three in the West. In this area the little girl raised from the dead in one of our crusades 1998 lives.
Each year I visit I take her picture with her mother as a constant reminder of the awesome power and grace of the Lord. Here when the 3rd stake was driven in the ground I saw like a huge fish net gathering in a great number of people. In this area last the time I was here we ministered to a woman that was being treated by a witch. She renounced the witchcraft and received the Lord Jesus. We burnt all the articles of witchcraft and broke the curses and laid hands on the woman and cast out demons. Today, two years later she is one of the leaders in the congregation. On Thursday, the presbytery met to discuss all the words of instruction, correction and advise that I had given them. I must admit that I was by no means easy. I held solid to the scriptures and would not be moved by cultural differences and traditions of men and their religions. The Lord and His Word won the day. Then on Friday we planted the 4th stake. This was the last and final stake. When we came to this territory it was announced, “”This was no Ordinary Rock Day””. By now this congregation had heard of the stacking of the stones on the stakes and to them it required a special sort of stones. They went and gathered very nice rounded stones near the beach that were beautiful.
When we had finished here, I saw as it were a bolt of lightening coming from heaven and igniting the atmosphere of the island. I believe that this is the beginning of a great move of God in this region of the world. I thank all you who prayed. God has heard you and has come in response to a peoples’ need and your prayers. As I traveled around the island so many sights and people brought back memories of God wonderfully transforming lives over the years. In every village and along the road I would see those and talk to them that the God of miracles had touched and healed from so many different sicknesses and diseases. A young man now attending school but six years ago he was a deaf mute boy. An old man dieing in a hammock in a small hut near the beach, now seven years later still alive and active in the church. So many others who would come up to me and tell me they still remember how wonderful the Lord is and what He did for them. This place, El Tigre Island, Honduras was the very first place in my ministry I ever ministered outside the USA. It was here that God changed my whole ministry direction. This is also the first time in my ministry that I have ever heard that many nations, five continents and over 300 churches were focused on one place for a week. Focused in order for a people reclaim an island for the Lord. On Saturday I conducted a leaders training for pastors of several other groups of churches in Honduras. I conducted my first women only training seminar. On Sunday I preached in the morning and at 2:00 pm the general “”Culto”” was held with all the churches coming together. What a powerful end to an historic week. God won the victory people were saved, healed and set free the devil lost again and the people were rejoicing in the Lord. Thank you my brothers and sisters.
Greetings to all of you who are interested in what ELIJAH MINISTRIES is doing. This past summer I was asked by the spiritual leaders of the island of El Tigre Honduras to fulfill a special function. This island is in the Gulf of Francesco on the Pacific side of Honduras. I have been honored to minister there in years past. The request was to draft a proclamation that would be prophesied over the island. This proclamation would then be rolled up and placed in wooden stakes and then driven in the ground at the North, South, East and West points of the compass of the island. I drafted the proclamation and the leaders agreed to its spirit and content. While in a time of prayer I believe I was directed to contact the churches and ministries around the world that are in an association with ELIJAH MINISTRIES. I will be traveling to El Tigre, the city of Amapala November 7. At this time more than 300 churches and ministries from the nations of Australia, Brazil, Philippines, India, Russia, Canada, West Africa and the United States have agreed to direct a time of prayer on the 14 day of November when the stakes will be driven into the ground and the declaration made to reclaim the island for the glory of the Lord. The wonder of it all is that all these nations will be focusing a united prayer force directed at this one island to take back the land for the Lord and establish His kingdom rule.
Here is the proclamation:
11 Behold, the LORD hath proclaimed unto the end of the world, Say ye to the daughter of Zion, Behold, thy salvation cometh; behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him. 12 And they shall call them, The holy people, The redeemed of the LORD: and thou shalt be called, Sought out, A city not forsaken.
On the basis of Scriptures, we the spiritual leaders of the island El Tigre and the city of Amapala in the nation of Honduras make this proclamation as we stake out the entire island laying claim to it as a territory set aside for the glory of the Lord. We recognize that the present condition of the island and its inhabitants are in need of change. The change that we realize is needed is primarily a spiritual change. Therefore we are seeking at least these things to be accomplished. REPENTANCE: We repent, asking the Lord to forgive us of the sins that have taken place on this island. We ask for forgiveness of the sins of political corruption, racial social, religious prejudice moral perversions, witchcraft, occult and idolatry. We pray the blood of Jesus Christ to cleanse our hands from the shedding of innocent blood. We ask forgiveness for the divisions in the church, forgiveness for pride forgiveness for the sins of the tongue anything that has hurt the cause of Christ. We repent and humble ourselves to ask for mercy to be poured our on our island. RETURN: With our repentance and bearing the fruit of that repentance through righteous living we seek to return to living and walking in the light as He is in the light that we might fellowship with Him and one another. To return to our first love, Jesus who is our Alpha and Omega and all between. We commit ourselves to walk in the Spirit of love one for another. REQUEST: We request that the times of refreshing would be poured out as promised in Acts 3:19. We are asking God’s kingdom to come and His will be done on this island. We ask that the intended destiny of this island not be detoured or aborted. But the plan of God accomplished. RESTORATION: We ask in the name of Jesus for an outpouring of His grace mercy and peace to cover this island. We ask for a restoration of the foundations of righteousness on this island. We know that our help comes from the Lord who is the restorer of the souls of those who seek Him. REVIVAL: Believing that the order of God is of utmost importance we are confident that as we fulfill our responsibility of repentance, humbling ourselves, and seeking His face He will send forth a fire that will ignite a spiritual revival. A move of the Holy Spirit bringing conviction that would cause hardhearted people to fall on their knees asking for forgiveness. A revival that transforms the atmosphere of the island so that the presence of the glory of the Lord would be evident in everywhere. We seek that the glory of the knowledge of the Lord flow for this island to cover the earth as the waters covers the seas. RESIST: On the basis of our submission to God and drawing near to Him; we have the confidence He will draw near to us. We will, by faith, resist the devil and all his works all his forces and powers of evil that have taken hold of this island. We resist the spirit of wickedness that has established strongholds on this island, the dark places the hidden works of darkness. We call on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ to destroy all spiritual strongholds, we proclaim this day this island is now under the power and ownership of the Holy Spirit. All other spirits are hereby given notice, and evicted from this island by the power of the Name of Jesus.
When we stake out our island as God’s people, we are acting boldly with outright aggression without apology or hesitation. We have declared this before God, the entire spiritual realm and the physical world present. WE TAKE THIS ISLAND IN THE NAME OF THE LORD!
